i currently have your latest release. 0.8
is GetElementById suppose to be function of PDFDocument because i can't find and use it like in this example.

I followed the example in this link at the very bottom which happens to be ver 1.0
http://www.scryber.co.uk/HowTo/tabid/133/Default.aspx?topic=My+First+Real+PDF

Here is my code - and PDFDocument doc.GetElementById( " " ); does not exists.

using Scryber.Components;
.
.
.

using (PDFDocument doc = PDFDocument.ParseDocument("~/samplepdfx"))
{
PDFLabel datelbl = (PDFLabel)doc.GetElementById("GenerateDateLbl");
doc.ProcessDocument(this.Response);
}

how can i get ver 1.0 if that is the case.

Hi

Sorry - this appears to be an error in the documentation.

The actual name for this function is doc.FindAComponentById("GenerateDateLbl");
I'll update - and thanks for posting.

If you upgrade to the latest version (0.8.5) then there is now a pdf:Date component which also supports date formatting and default value is the current date - if that is what you are after.
